After the 750km VBMP Long March from Quetta to Karachi, the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons announced their decision to extend the Long March another 1400km to the UN Office in Islamabad.
The Voice for Baloch Missing Persons resumed their Long March on December 13th 2013. Led by Mama Qadeer and Banuk Farzana Majeed, the VBMP Long March demonstrators continued their Historic Journey for the safe recovery of the 18,000+ abducted Baloch people.
72km from Lahore (Okara), Mohmmad Irfan & several other VBMP Long March protestors were injured during an attempted hit & run attack by an unidentified truck. Despite their injuries, as well as the ongoing threats to the protestors & their relatives, the VBMP protestors bravely march forward to Islamabad undeterred.
The objective of this historic and peaceful #VBMPLongMarch protest is the safe return of the 18,000+ people who were abducted by Pakistani Security Forces in Balochistan. The #VBMPLongMarch is generating international awareness of the violent genocide of the Baloch people, calling upon the International Community & United Nations to take immediate action concerning the severe Human Rights Abuses being conducted by Pakistan in the Balochistan region.
